Introduction to Orienteering
We're partnering with the New England Orienteering Club (NEOC) for their annual spring Introduction to Orienteering event!
Orienteering combines navigation with adventure, using detailed maps to locate specific checkpoints in the woods. Think of it as a hike with a scavenger hunt twist! In this event, expert instructors from the New England Orienteering Club will guide participants through the fundamental skills needed to navigate the terrain. After the instruction, participants will embark on their own orienteering journey, tackling one or more beginner-friendly courses.
All ages are welcome! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
This event is free for members of the Y, but registration is required so you can choose a time slot. Non-members are welcome at $5 for youth (21 and under) and $10 for adults (22 and over).
