a man learns about programming for seniors at the Y

Senior citizens from the MetroWest community attended our annual Senior Health and Wellness Day at the Framingham Branch this week.  They learned about our Y programs and met local community organizations.

Those in attendance included:

MetroWest YMCA staff were on hand to talk about our nutrition and wellness programs, as well as our evidence-based health intervention programs that are offered for free on an ongoing basis. Currently, the Y is registering people for the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program and Livestrong at the Y for cancer survivors.

Jesse Potter, Director of Evidence-Based and Older Adult Programs shares, "At the Y, we care about multiple aspects of a person's well-being. Holding in-person events for our community like this is a great way to not only bring together health resources in one place but  also connect people to each other."
